The Healing Shadow

It gives me joy to find new nuggets within the Word of God upon which to meditate.  In today’s scripture one main word was lifted from verse 15. The believers within this gathering simply found hope and encouragement that if Peter’s shadow fell upon them, there would be healing within them.  It was as simple as that.

A shadow is a reflection of and object, person or being.   A source of light must be present for a shadow to exist.  Sometimes we look for great things, signs

Matthew 20:1-5, 34

What is your purpose in life? As a young person, how do you discover it?  Your foundational purpose may be found by answering the call that Jesus softly speaks to you - trust Him; come to Him.  We mistakingly believe that there is a list out there of "do's" and "don'ts" out there related to being a Christian. The message is so simple that it gets lost in opinion. You've been called for a purpose.

Do you realize that God knew you before you were born? He ma

John 4:1-30

In this scripture we meet a woman who has counted herself out, not believing that she was even worth interaction with anyone. People around her felt that she was not worthy because of her poor choices in life.   She was carrying all of her broken history in her soul, heart and mind.

For this message, we label her an “emotional packrat.” Much like hoarders who keep things that they will never use again, an emotional packrat stores up bitterness, anger, pain, host

Luke 24:1-9

This is a familiar passage.  On the first day of the week, the women went to the tomb to prepare Jesus’ body after death.  According to tradition, family and friends washed the body of the deceased, rubbed it with spices and fine oil, and wrapped it in cloths. (John 19:39, 40; Acts 9:36-41)  Since Jesus died on the Sabbath, this practice could not be addressed until the day after the Sabbath.  To keep with the tradition the ladies went to the tomb to prepare Je

Matthew 14:22-29

Think about this.  You’re never fully mature as you grow in Christ. There is always more growing to do.   Ways to expand your maturity include studying His Word, keeping an open conversation with Him and becoming more trusting and dependent upon Him.

Sometimes we have troubles in our lives and wonder why.  Sometimes we think ourselves to be experiencing judgement from God. Have you ever considered that these things come into your life to push you to the nex

Do I Need A Flood

Genesis 6:5-8 and Genesis 7:10-12

After reviewing the passage, prayerfully consider yourself, your life, you choices and examine your current situation.  In the scripture the wickedness of man was excessive. Though warned, they chose not to heed the warnings of God.  God sent the flood to wash away the wickedness.

Water came from the deep (below the ground) and from the heavens.  God cleansed the Earth.

As you pray and listen to God, identify your need for cleansing, seek the
