I Gave, I am giving, I Will Give

It’s Christmas Eve.  Today I was standing in the checkout line of a local branch of a small chain store.  A customer noticed that the cashier was standing “pretty stiffly” and kindly asked, “Why do you stand with a coat on and no smile?”  The cashier responded, “Because it’s cold in here.”   Then she pointed to the space heater that was behind her. The cash register was beside the door and the temperature outside had dipped below 20 degrees.

If you had a million dollars, what would you do with it?

Do you actually need to wait to have a million dollars to give the best gift?  There are so many if-then thoughts that we have during the holiday season.  Thanks be to God that we do not need to wait for the "If" when it comes to the best of giving.

Stuffed

A couple of years ago I became overwhelmed with taking down my Christmas decorations....overwhelmed to the point of becoming ill.  As I reflected upon it the next year, my decorations became minimal. Focusing upon having the nicest decorations in the neighborhood made me lose sight of the true meaning of Christmas. Something was missing.

What Do You Call Him
